New V14 in Parisella's Cave
northwalesbouldering.com has reported that Neil Dyer has just completed a major link in Parisella’s Cave, close to the seaside resort of Llandudno in North Wales.
This venue is well known for it super steep, desperate test-piece’s and is summed up well by Gareth Parry, ‘The cave is THE venue for hardcore power endurance bouldering, it has an ever growing number of problems at V10’s and above and by no means is it worked out. With a number of non-eliminate lines still to be climbed and any number of link up projects to be done the Cave Of Justice will continue to churn out new hard boulder problems for years to come. For me personally it is the ultimate venue for limestone bouldering in the UK’.
Well, one of the big links has now been done. The super hard Silk Cut, at a big V14, extends Director’s Cut (a much sought after V13 of
Jamie Cassidy’s and repeated by Neil the day before) into the obvious highball exit of Upper Cut (a V8).
It is a major addition and one which Neil is obviously very pleased with. You can read Neil’s thoughts as well as seeing photographs at: http://www.northwalesbouldering.com/newsitem.asp?nsid=345
