Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival
Taking place on Saturday 27th February 2010 the new HVAFF is based at Hope Valley College in the centre of the Peak District and is a community based event run as a fund raiser for the college. This is the festival's first year and promises to be a great day of adventure films and lectures catering for both adults and ‘youth’.

Over the course of the day there will be two ‘Best of ShAFF 2009’ screenings , two ‘Youth Adventure Film Packages’, lectures and an exhibition of mountain art and photography by Peak based artists. The ‘Best of ShAFF (Sheffield Adventure Film Festival) 2009’ is a great opportunity to see loads of the best climbing and adventure films from the last year. Evening entertainment is provided by Ian Parnell who will be giving a lecture, showing some of his amazing photos and telling tales of adventure in the worlds highest places.
With easy parking, home cooked on-sight catering, real ale and a position close to the Peak crags this should prove an attraction for both locals and visitors. Tickets to any of the films and lectures running over the course of the day are a bargain and all the cash goes to a good cause. You can either buy a day time film pass or tickets to the evening lectures (where the main lecture is by Ian Parnell), or both!
